As an education activist, Angela has dedicated thousands of hours to elite training & earned certifications in family wellness, de-escalation, mental health, communication, complex care, crisis management, leadership, & community enrichment services. Her commitment to expanding knowledge and keeping up with best practices shines through in her literacy projects & her support for educational growth in families. Angela understands the connection between self-worth, advocacy, education, & literacy. She works to empower and provide resources, raise awareness, & foster support that reduces stigma & motivates families to acquire educational & advocacy skills. Angela's professional background spans program & senior management. She has led teams & orchestrated community resources, always with an excellent commitment to fostering positive change & securing measurable outcomes. Currently, she serves as the Co-VP of Education & Training for the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay for 2024-2025, holds a board position with CMHACY for 2024-2026, & is a 2024 member of the Alameda County Office of Family Empowerment Advisory Board. Her past roles reflect a consistent trajectory, & she intends to pursue further positions in the future. Wellness, self-worth, community engagement, knowledge of resources, navigation skills, setting boundaries, relationship-building, goal-setting, & literacy are critical areas often overlooked yet essential for success.
