Angela is an English and Canadian lawyer with almost 30 years experience of the most complex and challenging areas of litigation. She is also an experienced mediator (Civil and Family law), Family Law Arbitrator and Parenting Coordinator and Registered Clinical Counsellor (#18829), Angela's legal career has included defending and prosecuting claims of medical malpractice, professional indemnity, personal injury and estate litigation. She brings her legal skills and experience, wisdom and empathy to family law which she practices exclusively through Martin Estate Law, Kelowna. Angela completed a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and obtained her Registered Clinical Counsellor designation through Yorkville University. She works with couples, families and ex-spouses to improve communication and relationship dynamics. She has direct experience working with children and youth dealing with an array of life experiences from mental health issues, abuse and dealing with life's transitions. She is a Parental Coordinator to those seeking assistance to co-parent following separation or divorce. She is active in the legal community providing legal education, law practice reviews on behalf of the Law Society of BC and is Vice Chair of the Judicial Advisory Committee preparing reports for applicants to the Provincial Court Bench. She is a Restorative Justice Facilitator diverting youth from the criminal justice system, were appropriate.
