About Angela Peachy-Larson

Angela Peachy-Larson has over 15 years experience working in healthcare risk management. Angela is currently employed with Hawaii Health System Corporation as the Corporate Director of Risk Management. In her role with the State of Hawaii she provides consultative risk and patient safety support to Risk Managers, physicians, administrative leaders and staff helping to serve the people of Hawaii. In her role as Risk Manager, Angela helps to develop and grow risk programs and policies that promote patient safety. She also assists in managing general liability and risk exposures. Her responsibilities include investigations of incidents, patient grievances, regulatory management and medical malpractice claims. Her committee work includes Safety, Security, Patient Rights, Bioethics, and Reward and Recognition Programs for safety reporting promotion. In addition, Angela provides education to physicians, staff and colleagues regarding enterprise risk management, leadership training, customer service excellence, culture sensitivity, and safety awareness. Angela is the current President for the Southern California Association of Healthcare Risk Management and for the California Association of Patient Relations. Angela graduated as a licensed vocational nurse from San Bernardino College in 2003. She obtained her CPHRM certification from ASHRM in 2017 and her CPX from Beryl Institute in 2018. She has received several awards for patient safety including the BETA Quest for Zero and Gem Award. Outside of work Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons playing golf, going to soccer games and heading to the beach.
