About Angela Savage

I have been in healthcare for nearly 30+ years & still have a passion for patient care & making a difference. I am currently licensed as an RN/APRN in both Colorado & Florida. For the past 4 years I was employed on Burn, Hand & Recon Serviceline at Swedish Hospital which is a Level One Trauma/Burn Verified Hospital. I additionally saw Wound & Hyperbaric patients as a guest provider for our serviceline in the outpatient Wound & HBOT Clinic at SMC. Within my specialties, I have done various positions including; teaching wound care classes/seminars, developing wound care paperwork, training (one-on-one & group settings) for "hands on" wound care, consulting, formulary development, developing policy/procedures, staff development & training, research/trials on new products, preceptoring/mentoring, legal reviews & of course "field/clinical-work".I have a passion for working with the "homeless" population as well as the "under-served".For years I have done volunteer work through-out the Denver Metro area including the "Project Homeless Connect" as well as free clinic projects at various shelters throughout the city.I love educating, whether its the staff I work with or students at the local university & with very few APRNs in my specialty, I feel an obligation to teach wound care @ any opportunity I'm given.I am very blessed to have a career which I love & am humbled by the priviledge I have been given to enter into people's lives in a time of hardship in an attempt to make a difference.My goal is to get everyone from clinicians to the general public involved in wound care @ some level.
