About Angela Shepperd

I am an empathetic, hardworking individual, who has been working for the last 5 years towards being a qualified counsellor. It is my passion to empower others to find their own way in times of mental health difficulty. I have lived experience of mental health difficulty, and so feel that the work I undertake with clients has real gravitas and authenticity. I am also currently working as an enabling support worker with adults with learning disabilities, which has allowed me to perfect my communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal). I have also learned a range of transferable skills such as records management, observational skills and problem solving. My choice of degree study was Archaeology, and came from a deep interest in people and society, and understanding how identity is constructed. My degree allowed me to gain excellent analytical and interpretive skills.
