About Angela Stockman

I'm a connected educator who builds community between people who have varied and complementary expertise. The learning that I do inside of each role that I assume within the field enriches all of the others. I truly believe that we learn and serve better together. I enjoy working collaboratively with students, teachers, and administrators to identify each system's strengths, define its goals, and design initiatives that help them realize their vision. Much of my work is devoted to the development of multiliteracy skills within and beyond the English/English Language Arts classroom. Over the last twenty years, I've served teachers in over one hundred school systems, colleges, and universities in their development of high quality curricula, assessments, and instructional practices. I've also led numerous system-wide standards based grading and reporting initiatives and the shift away from grading and toward pedagogical documentation. These are sustained, job-embedded experiences that often find me observing and teaching in classrooms beside educators and their students. In addition to the work that I do on the ground, I design and facilitate my own online courses and enjoy working with educators in a variety of virtual environments.
