Highly motivated professional in the non-profit and corporate sectors, with a diversified expertise in team leadership, and administration/program management. I enjoy building relationships and inspiring others to work cohesively towards common goals. I take a Democratic approach to build teams and believe in the value of diversity, and that people are the key to a culture of success. I also use a positive approach with an open door policy, to make work a pleasant place to be; building an atmosphere of trust. I take an active role in my team's development personally and professionally by developing strong relationships. I take pride in being a part of the whole operation and never asking staff to do something I would not do. I have a passion for helping people within the community, so I volunteer my time, talent and abilities with those organizations who address hunger, homelessness, and the needy. In all things my strategy is to work smarter and not harder and has served me to be successful. I feel a responsibility to assist in building better communities. My track record is indicative of this, as I have sought out opportunities to target and solidify solutions for homelessness through participating in the annual homeless count and overseeing programs for housing, worked on projects to assist survivors in their disaster recovery through financial assistance and home repairs, and worked with physicians who are trying to cure cancer by serving in roles to obtain grant funding for their research.
