About Angela Watson

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 26 years. The first 13 years of my career were spent as a Pediatric RN. Since Sept. of 2009, I have been practicing in the Level Neonatal Intensive Unit at CHRISTUS St. Michael. As of August 2022, I am a full-time member of the Nursing Faculty at Texas A&M University- Texarkana. I graduated with my BSN in May 2017. I became a Certified NICU RN in February 2017. I graduated with my MSN on December 13, 2019. I am very involved in Professional Governance at my facility serving as NICU Magnet Champion, member of the Quality and Safety Council, Chair 0f the Research Council l, and Chair for the Professional Development Council. Professional associations include the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), North Texas NANN, Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), American Nurses Association (ANA), and the Texas Nurses Assoication (TNA). I am a STABLE Program Lead Instructor, Course Director for the ENA programs Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) & Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), I also serve as a mentorfor both programs, and PALS Instructor.
