About Angelique Samuels

I am currently in my final year of a Dual Degree of Nursing and Midwifery. Currently working as a Disability Support Worker, Registered Undergraduate Student Nurse (RUSON) and Midwife (RUSOM), I am extremely thrilled to enter the workforce and apply the non-clinical, and clinical skills I have learnt through clinical placements and my employment. During my degree I have completed placements across various clinical sectors, further motivating me to seek out roles in hospitals to consolidate my learning, beyond clinical skills; Working in the clinical setting, paired with my placements, has shown me that by building rapport with the women I care for and their families, I am building a foundation of trust and respect. Further, I have become competent at accessing and using electronic medical records (EMR) that is accessed across different hospitals and healthcare providers. I enjoy working in a fast paced environment, and thrive working in a team and independently. I enjoy interacting with my colleagues, patients and their families, whilst demonstrating therapeutic communication, and completing ongoing professional development.
