About Angelo Cenedese

He has held several visiting positions at international Universities and Research Centers: he was "visiting research scholar" with the UKAEA-JET laboratories in the Culham Research Centre, Abingdon, UK (2002 to 2004),"visiting scientist" at the JAERI Institute, Naka, Japan and at General Atomics, San Diego, CA (2004), under EURATOM agreements, and "visiting scholar" at the Vision Lab of UCLA, Los Angeles, CA (2010), expert consultant at F4E (2014). He was responsible for software tasks for the European Project EFDA-JET Enhancement on Magnetic Diagnostics (2002-2004), principal investigator in the project "SIMEA: Integrated/distributed System for Energetic and Environmental Monitoring"(2010-2012) funded by Regione Veneto, and in other projects on sensor and actor networks funded by government institutions and industries. He was also actively involved in- the FP6 EU Project "ELT Design Study - Technology development towards a European Extremely Large Telescope"- in several EU EFDA-JET Projects on control and diagnostics - the FP7 EU Project "FeedNetBack - Feedback design for wireless networked systems"- the CaRiPaRo "WISEWAI - Wireless Sensor networks for city-Wide Ambient Intelligence" project - several National PRIN Projects among which "Smart Environments" His research collaborations include European Southern Observatory, Garching, Germany, ENEA-EURATOM, INFN, UCLA, LAAS-CNRS and several industrial partners. He has coauthored more than 100 papers on international journals, proceedings of international conferences, and several technical reports of international research institutes, and three patents have been granted, in the area of sensor/actor networks and videosurveillance.
