About Angelo Muratore

I am a General Manager/ Project Director, experienced in leading both large scale strategic projects and large business units in multi-nationals including Shell, Schweppes, Instruct Corporation, Kiah Consulting and the public sector. I have led multi-site and multi-country projects and operations, in Australia, North and South East Asia, and the Middle East, and specialise in major transformation projects (both strategy development and execution), supply chain network/ infrastructure development, and end-to-end supply chain operations. In my current role, I am leading the design and delivery of a large national fuels infrastructure portfolio of works. I manage a team of project delivery leads, project engineers, subject matter experts, project admin and support staff, executing a suite of infrastructure projects, as well as national programs to implement safe works procedures, fire safety studies and remediation, and national design standards. In my previous role, I led the transition of a major social infrastructure project from construction to operations. Prior to that, I led the implementation of a significant supply chain transformation, including the national restructure of a $1bn supply chain to create substantial enterprise value, increased levels of customer service, transformed organisational capabilities to beat best-in-class, and dramatically reduced costs. My experience to date has spanned developed and developing markets, multiple countries, cultures, languages, and backgrounds, and covered complex operations and global supply chains. I am a committed leader with a strong execution orientation, driven by action and results. I thrive on creating order out of chaos, solving problems and managing risk, especially in complex environments. I take pride in building and developing high performing, motivated and diverse project teams, building the necessary capabilities, behaviours and mindsets to achieve success. I am adept at leveraging my multidisciplinary knowledge and skills to manage key internal and external stakeholders that supersede cultural and geographic boundaries. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (1st class honours), and a Master’s Degree in Science (Industrial Design), both from UNSW. I have completed a senior leadership program at IMD (Switzerland), and am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
