About Angie Cook

Angie is a Payroll specialist with more than 20 years experience internationally and in Australia. She has in-depth experience in Public, Education, and Private Industries. Angie commenced her payroll career in the UK in small businesses managing the payroll and financial reports for not-for-profits. Her International experience included Toshiba and the Wrigley Company. After moving to Australia in 2007, Angie worked with a number of organisations. Initially working with Airservices Australia, She commenced with CSIRO to refresh the Executive Pay and Senior Staff Payroll and later co-led the HR Service Centre and managed Executive Pay team. Angie was a key member of the HR management team and led a number of critical projects to improve people outcomes for the organisation. Angie attributes her success to her ability to build strong relationships and networks across the industry, which allow her to deliver solutions quickly for her clients. She is known for her ability to develop professional payroll skills in her teams, understanding the business requirements, deliver business process improvements and efficiencies. In 2012, Angie joined the University of Canberra (UC) as Manager, Remuneration and Benefits and was key part of them management team. She improved efficiencies and compliance across the organisation for payroll processes and client satisfaction. During this time, Angie managed teams’ on-shore and off-shore and at the same time she developed a provided outsource payroll solutions. She was engaged as a specialist payroll expert by The Australian War Memorial in 2013 to lead a major payroll reform project to provide significant change to the Payroll function, the HRIS, reporting and client satisfaction. Her strengths are to simplify complex payroll and superannuation legislation to deliver efficient payroll solutions that are fully compliant. She continually seeks to improve the service and support to her clients.
