About Angus Ladd

I am a driven, detail-oriented engineering student. While not in class, I work part-time with Hargrove Engineers & Constructors. This relationship began as an intern for Summer 2023. Starting with the Fall 2023 semester, I began fulfilling my role remotely, resuming full-time work in-person during Winter and Summer breaks. This experience has proved invaluable in advancing my analytical skills through the daily tasks as well as more in-depth and consequential projects. These long-term projects instilled an augmented appreciation and understanding of business operations and strategy. Such projects have included analyzing rates and multipliers, creating a long-range forecasting tool, desgining KPIs for client-facing operations, and a simplified pre-billing process. My experience in Cost Control supplements my education in Industrial Engineering well. I have been able to apply concepts from operations research as well as lean principles and display design theory to my workflows. Conversely, my problem solving abilities and collaboration with multi-discipline international teams has complemented my academic career well. Working with partners is the ideal for me, not the exception. My passion for continuous learning is what drives me forward. In my mind, the best challenge is the next one.
