Background

About Angus Long

I am currently a swim instructor and life guard through APS (Arlington Public Schools). I am looking to shift work environments to a role where I can utilize the experience, fast thinking, and adaptability I have gained through working in non-traditional teaching environments. Such "classrooms" have taught me the value of assessment, mind-body connections, and holistic perspectives to becoming and teaching well rounded citizens. This combined with my love for history makes me eager to teach others while also challenging and growing my own knowledge. I thrive forming connections and conversations with patrons and coworkers. I consistently push my self to think critically about why curriculums and structures are they way they are in order to increase efficiency and promote growth. This makes me a flexible and strong addition to any team.
