Background
About Aniketh Arvind
I am a rising senior at the Hackley School in Tarrytown, NY, planning to double major in Computer Science and Business in college. I am deeply interested in entrepreneurship and venture capital, with a large aspiration of becoming a serial tech entrepreneur. Aside from academics, I am a machine-learning researcher, entrepreneur, non-profit founder, award-winning pianist and violinist, U17 cricketer for the Queens United Cricket Academy, and captain of the Connecticut Cricket Academy U17 team. During the summers of 2022 and 2023, I worked with Principal Investigator Dr. Mohammad Rahman in the Biorobotics Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin, where we completed research sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on the vision-based localization and tracking of objects via robotic manipulation for the application of aiding lower-limb-paralyzed wheelchair users through daily living; our research was accepted to the 2023 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (oral presentation with proceedings publication). In addition, I conducted independent machine-learning and computer-vision research, developing a deep NASNet-based wearable object-classification system (provisional patent secured) for the visually impaired. My research was accepted to and orally presented at the 2023 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Pattern Recognition in Tunisia, Africa, as well as the 2023 International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Dallas, TX. Moreover, my research paper was accepted for publication, via the International ISPR Conference, to the 2023 Springer edition. Overall, my area of research focuses heavily on machine learning, computer vision, and robotics with highly assistive, impactful applications.
