About Anil David

Anil David is the Founder of Agape Connecting People Pte Ltd, a social enterprise that serves to provide equal upskilling and employment opportunities for a sustainable community transformation. He spearheaded the setup of Agape’s men and women’s contact centres in Changi Prison to provide reskilling and work opportunities impact for prison inmates. Anil also contributed to the opening of Agape training and job placement centre in April 2021 with partnership setup support from Barclays. This provides reskilling and employment opportunities for the vulnerable communities, including ex-offenders, single mothers, the physically challenged and low income residents. To date, Agape has impacted over 900 lives since inception in 2012 and is on track to reach milestone of lives by 2022. Anil’s transformation life journey has been featured in BBC World, The Straits Times, Channel News Asia, The Mothership, Singapore’s National Day Parade 2019 Live Show and radio stations CNA 938 and Money FM 89.3 In recognition of his contribution towards delivering sustainable community transformation, Anil has received several awards including :(1) Finalist, UBS Straits Times Singaporean of the Year 2021 (2) Winner, Gold Award CCAS Regional Contact Centre Awards 2020 (3) Champion, People of Good, NVPC President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award 2020 (4) Winner, Excellence in CSR 2019, SICCI (5) Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2016, SVCA Anil has over 20 years of leadership experience in customer sales and service operations across insurance, travel and telecommunications sectors, covering both consumer and corporate segments. He recently published his autobiography entitled ‘ The Longest Shortcut ‘ which sold over copies.
