About Anil Mengi

Over the course of my 20+ year career in the dynamic telecommunications industry, I've had the privilege of working on the forefront of technological advancements in the industry. My work has allowed me to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers around the globe, particularly in the fields of consumer electronics and Smart Grid within the energy market. Currently, I'm the Corporate Vice President of Strategic Positioning at devolo AG, where I lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the funded strategic product development. This includes exciting projects such as IoT-Gateway, smart electricity meter, communication modems for medical and industrial networks, and Smart Meter Gateway according BSI IT security standard BSI-PP-CC-0073. In addition to this, I'm involved in a range of political and regulatory developments, working with European Commission Legislation (Directives, etc.), European Standard Organisations (Cenelec, etc.), national laws and National regulatory Authorities (BNETZA, etc.), and global industrial organizations. Leading the Marketing Chair of the G3-PLC Alliance has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. As a key member of this organization, I've had the privilege of contributing to the marketing strategy of the Alliance and leading the marketing team of over 100 industry-leading firms. My passion for identifying emerging market opportunities has also led me to take part in several European and national funding projects, such as LINCNET and 5G-COMPASS. By bringing together cutting-edge technologies such as LiFi, Fiber, Wi-Fi, Powerline Communication and 5G, we're driving digitization in both healthcare and industry, and paving the way for the future of telecommunications. I have a strong domain expertise in IoT, Smart Energy, Smart Lighting, Home Automation, Building Automation, Consumer Electronics, In-house Networks, Telecom Operator Business, EMC, EU Directives and Regulations, Standardization, Patent Management, Semiconductors, Smart Metering, Electricity distribution, PLC, WiFi, Sustainable Supply Chain, M2M, Data Security, and IT Security Certificates.
