Have worked at the globally reputed PR agencies and a leading corporate. Today I am at a unique intersection of Corporate & Marketing Communications CSR and Sustainability having set up these departments and leading them. As Head- Corporate Communications I am tasked with strengthening the brand image of Havells while working closely with 17 business verticals and deliver strategic PR initiatives. Over the years the brand’s media presence has increased exponentially which is a testimony to the successful and effective utilisation of media relations social media influencer & stakeholder engagement tools. Having conceptualised the 360 degrees approach to CSR and the concept of “Sustainable CSR” the CSR programs at Havells are currently based on these approaches and addressing some grass-roots problem that Children are facing. In addition to the mid-day meal program the WaSH project in government schools has positively impacted millions of children and has received the highest award from the government of Rajasthan for the past four years. In 2012 I introduced and initiated the concept of Sustainability at Havells and in the last eight years have conceptualised and implemented various initiatives to not only save costs raw materials enhance employee productivity & safety but also be gentle on the environment. The hard work has transformed Havells into a ‘Water Positive’ company and will soon be ‘Wood & Paper Negative’ company. The efforts were recognised by ‘Dow Jones Sustainability Index’ where Havells was adjudged the 6th best electrical company in the world and the only Indian Electrical company to enter ‘Emerging Markets Index’.
