Feb 2012 to Feb 2013: Punj Lloyd Ltd-MENA group: Worked for Punj Lloyd Ltd, Advisor (Procurement), looking after procurement coordination and expediting for Falcon Bulk Fuel Terminal and Jet Fuel Supply to Dubai International Airport with ENOC as PMC and Horizon as Client in Dubai. Posted at PL Engineering Ltd, Gurgaon, for all purchase activities including enquiries, evaluation, coordination, expediting and resolution of post order issues with the vendors. The job was completed to the satisfaction of concerned. Separated on completion of purchase activities and expiry of contract period- July 1983 to June 2011: Engineers India Limited (A Govt. of India Enterprise), 1 Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110066, A premier consultancy organisation in the field of Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Metallurgy etc: o Retired as Additional General Manger (Contracts & Purchase) on 30.06.2011. o Heading Purchase functions for allocated Projects. During my tenure of over 28 years in Engineers India Limited, I have handled procurement of equipment and materials for variety of projects including Petrochemical Complexes, Gas Processing Units, Metallurgical Projects (Aluminium) and crude oil refineries both on EPC (LSTK) and EPCM basis. Handled, as Group Head (C&P), two major LSTK Projects of over Rs. 850 Cr. Each (Paraxylene Project and LLDPE/ HDPE Project, both for IOCL, Panipat, Haryana,India)- 1976 to 1983: M/s Engineering Projects (India) Limited, a Govt. of India enterprise, undertaking lump sum turnkey projects in India and Middle East. I served the company in Materials Management Department as Junior Purchase Engineer. I handled procurement of plant, equipment & services for Sugar Plants, Coal Handling Projects, Ash Handling Projects, Civil construction Projects (Grain Silos, Housing Complexes, etc.) in Middle East (Iraq, Saudi Arabia & Kuwait). I was also involved in arranging and providing inputs for tenders in marketing stage.
