About Anine Sus

I am an editor and writer with a B.A. in English and creative writing. After two editing and writing internships during my time at Dickinson College, I began my full-time editing career at the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) in 2017. Though I came to finance knowing nothing about the industry, I learned about the mechanics of investing from AAII’s helpful content, starting with the details [how to write out exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on first mention] and making it all the way to the big picture (I really need to start saving for retirement!). This surprised not only me but my peers and colleagues. In 2021, I created the My Investing Discoveries blog to teach myself about investing using AAII’s tools and research. My personal finance journey has not been simple or easy, but I remain motivated to continue and hold myself accountable while keeping the learning process enjoyable. In 2023, I spearheaded the relaunch of the Beginning Investor series for the AAII Journal. Continuing with my passion for education, I began working at Red Ventures under the Allconnect brand in 2024. The broadband marketplace is vast and full of jargon, making it difficult for individuals to find the right internet provider — much like the finance industry. We even have ETFs: early termination fees. My new, exciting details are ZIP codes, provider pricing and internet speeds for companies like Verizon, Spectrum and AT & T.
