About Anisa Heck

I'm a food scientist turned digital strategist, with a PhD in Food Science and over a decade of hands-on experience in the food industry across both academic and industry settings. Today, I work in scientific informatics consulting, helping food & beverage organizations navigate the complexities of digital transformation, from lab digitalization and data strategy, to AI integration, change management, and building a strong digital culture within science-driven teams. Before moving into the world of digital strategy, I spent over 7 years leading research projects, developing new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. I’ve worked in dairy, plant-based innovation, texture analysis, fermentation, and pilot plant processing, and taught scientific concepts to hundreds of students. Now based in Germany (originally from Canada), I bring a global, bilingual perspective to my work, and a deep belief that digital tools should enable better science, not complicate it.
