About Anisha Barai

I have a professional experience spanning legal and regulatory research, Intellectual Property laws, legal drafting, litigation, contract management, and document review with an in-depth expertise in IP laws and their nexus with Technology laws owing to my Masters degree in Law and Technology. I am currently working at Nicco Cables Pvt. Ltd. as a Legal Associate where my primary focus is on handling all company related legal and corporate affairs on negotiation, compliance, reviewing of commercial contracts and agreements. One of my crucial tasks is to also manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies, strategies and procedures. Prior to this, I have worked at the Trade Marks Registry, Kolkata as an Examiner of Trademark and G.I where my primary role was to ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures throughout the examination process and also identifying potential risks and fraud through meticulous review of documentation and background checks and I also have a brief experience working at LawSikho. I have a degree in Master of Laws (LLM) from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) with a specialisation in Law and Technology where i successfully defended my dissertation on the topic 'The Question of Sex(uality) and Algorithm Bias' and also hold an undergraduate degree in B.B.A.LLB from Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
