About Anissa Daud

With a robust academic background in politics and international relations, my journey has led me to Diabetes UK, where I currently lead on systems change initiatives and leadership programmes. This role enables me to fuse my strategic acumen with a passion for health advocacy, ensuring that insights from healthcare professionals, community leaders, partner organisations & those with lived experience are central to our support offerings. Currently, my focus is on nurturing partnerships and facilitating healthcare events, leveraging my communication skills to foster dialogue and drive impactful programme evaluations. My previous roles have also enriched my skills in community capacity building, tackling health inequalities, project management and stakeholder engagement, laying the groundwork for my current responsibilities, whilst my varied volunteering roles in my local community have shaped my approach in understanding and attempting to effectively tackle health and social inequalities.
