About Anita Mitchell

In the 20 yesrs span of my career, my primary focus has been Human Services with Behavioral Health being the current field of service. I recently obtained my Master’s Degree in Management due to being in middle management administration. I enjoy the business aspect of Human Services and look forward to transitioning to a position that will allow me to utilize and strengthen the skills I have gained over the years. My next education/professional goal is to obtain a PhD, in Public Administration. Due to the changing field of Healthcare it is imperative that I have the appropriate knowledge and position myself in the right position so that I can work toward improving the services that so many people utilize and need. I believe strongly in developing the right team to be able to provide exceptional services. In my current position I am the leader of my team, but you are only as good as the people that you lead. Being a leader also calls for the ability to work independently and be a self-starter, as well as have critical thinking skills. At the administration level I have learned to be adaptable to situations and circumstances without it disrupting the work flow. I am confident that with my current education and skill set I would be an asset to an organization that is looking to develop innovative programs and efficiencies that would accommodate the changing Human Service environment. Adding to my skill set is the postion of Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF) Surveyor, traveling the country applying the CARF Standards to agencies that provided Rehabilitative and Behavioral Health Facilities.
