Background

About Anita Zaenker

I'm a senior strategy leader who specializes in helping organizations solve complex problems. I work with people and across silos to get things done. I support leaders, and I lead teams. I find and create opportunity through my understanding of policy, politics and people. I thrive in pulling the pieces together to make sure my organization delivers on its strategic objectives. I'm conscientious, thoughtful, and discrete. I continuously challenge myself to see past my biases and work sensitively with others to do the same. I have over twenty years working in the broader public sector in British Columbia, tackling issues such as housing affordability, public transportation, elder care, mental health and addictions, wage and labour policy, skills training, and equity. I specialize in helping strengthen representative democratic organizations and their memberships through information, education, engagement, elections and governance. About me: Born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Proud graduate of Churchill Secondary, UVic and UBC. Worked in student government, universities, the labour movement, municipal government, and as a consultant. Raising two teenagers to thrive in a changing world. Love languages and music and spending time in nature to recharge.
