About Anitra Paris

I'm a total climate nerd who is inspired to protect the wild. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast in beautiful British Columbia is what made me love nature, I spent countless hours hanging out in trees and collecting sea shells. When I'm not geeking out over clean tech and sustainable businesses, I can be found somewhere in nature—slashing powder or surfing waves. Studying for a BSc. in Natural Resource Conservation at the University of British Columbia allowed me to open my mind and look at sustainable solutions holistically. Living and studying in Iceland, France and Panama gave me exposure to the cultural challenges (and advantages) in adopting climate solutions globally. Ultimately, I am a dedicated problem solver and climate change is one of the biggest problems to solve. Renewable energy is a solution to our rising emissions, I feel inspired to learn about the many different facets and aspects of the electricity industry.
