About Anja Schmitz

My passion is discovering and developing people’s and organizations' potential across cultures and across disciplines. As a professor for Human Resources I encourage bridging the science-practice-gap by engaging students in applied research and supporting their professional development. I support organizations in driving inclusive, practical and results-oriented skill and organizational development programs. Firmly believing that organizations can only strive in today’s economy when they give everybody the opportunity for personal and professional growth, I partner with business leaders to continuously develop the organization’s culture and realize their employee's potential. I am engaged in research and teach university courses in leadership, organizational behavior, personnel development and selection, as well as other topics. On a personal note, I love being engaged in conversations on how we can bridge the gap between science and practice in our profession and on how we can strengthen intercultural exchange.
