About Anja Stopfer

I have finished my studies in English, Spanish, and Psychology at the University of Regensburg with a Bavarian state examination (corresponding to an M.A.). Currently, I am enrolled as a doctoral candidate and working on my PhD in American Studies (title tbd.). My special fields of interest lie in Intercultural Relations and Culture Studies, especially political questions and the interconnecting systems of culture, politics, and religion. Thanks to my professional experience thus far, my focus has been expanded to the manifold interactions between politics and the global economy. Having an immigration background myself and being raised in a multicultural setting, I am used to dealing with diverse cultures and resulting mentalities and behavioral patterns. Fluent in German, English, and Spanish helps me approach and deal with international contexts and challenges. Language skills in French and basic skills in Portuguese add to it. So does my certification as an Intercultural Business Trainer/Moderator (IBT/M). Both in my personal and professional life, I place great value on achieving personal goals, making effective and efficient decisions based on rational thinking, and completing every task I start to satisfaction.
