About Anjali Bhatnagar

About Me I’m a physicist turned entrepreneur with a deep love for building—ideas, companies, teams, and meaning. With a PhD and more than 20 years of leadership experience across tech, design, sustainability, and marketplaces, I’ve always been driven by purpose and curiosity. As founder and CEO of Tørn, I built a Nordic platform that helped the building supply industry turn surplus into value. We made it easier for retailers to reduce waste, free up capital, and offer high-quality products at lower prices. I led Tørn from a rough idea to a live service used by hundreds of stores across Norway and Sweden—through growth, complexity, and hard choices. What I Bring I bring a rare mix of analytical depth and practical drive. My academic background includes a PhD in Physics and 30+ scientific publications in international journals. But my career has been grounded in solving real-world problems—whether that’s launching new products, building tech platforms, leading diverse teams, or navigating change when things get hard. People often describe me as someone who brings structure to chaos, sees the bigger picture, and isn’t afraid to get things done. Creative & Curious Side Outside of work, I read, write and paint. It’s how I process and express things that can’t always be solved with logic. I’ve published essays on leadership, failure, identity, and culture—some on anjali.no, others in Norwegian media. A few of my paintings have even found new homes. I’ve also had the chance to be a guest on more than 10 national podcasts, sharing what I’ve learned (and unlearned) along the way. What’s Next Right now, I’m exploring new leadership opportunities—whether as executive or advisor. I’m drawn to people who care deeply, and to challenges that have real impact.
