Background
About Anjila Wosti
Anjila is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Physics (Astro track) at Washington State University. She is interested in black holes, gamma ray bursts, neutron stars and general relativity. In her past role as a research intern at NASA, she analyzed magnetometer data from the Mars Atmospheric and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) mission focusing on the data upstream of Mars Bow Shock (BS), under the guidance of her supervisor. Anjila worked with 100 days of 32 Hz MAVEN Magnetometer data, and created MATLAB routines to separate data upstream of the BS and to average 32 Hz data into 1 per minute. By the end of the internship, she was able to identify a few interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) signatures, and apply her codes to data from days outside her analysis. Anjila's past experiences include working as a Mathematics Tutor and Grader, Physics 101 learning assistant at WSU, full time primary mathematics teacher in Nepal and discovering 11 Near Earth Objects in the International Asteroid Search Campaign (IASC) organized by Hardy-Simmons University) by analyzing data from pan-STARRS in Hawaii.
