About Anke Genade

Landscape Architect by profession with a strong passion for Urban Design and building sustainable communities. As Landscape Architects we restore hard and cold urbanized regions to become pleasant and attractive outdoor spaces and opportunities for people to get back in touch with nature. It is a mutually beneficial solution to construct pleasant and healthy human-spaces without disrupting nature. When I think Landscape Architecture, I think of healing through orchestrating. Healing nature, healing people - through connecting with the resources available in nature - and orchestrating the disciplines involved to achieve the optimal healing process. I also have experience in graphic-presentation work - mostly architectural tenders - and have traveled to and fro Uganda for digital marketing of Amuka Safari Lodge and RhinoFund Uganda. I'm also currently involved with launching a NGO, a shelter to equip homeless young South Africans with a tertiary academic- or technical qualification (https://twitter.com/ChittaKibbutz). We are still looking for helping hands and volunteers willing to help materialise this dream! While this dream is being built (we pray behind the scenes) I am working at a large multi-disciplinary international Design Consultancy firm, SSH Design, as a Landscape Architect. I believe I have much experience, skills and value to offer any company in architectural/design industry. I am a devoted team-player who strives to go the extra mile daily.
