Background

About Ankit Bhatia

I help sports organisations - from grassroots NGOs to global federations - unlock commercial, philanthropic, and partnership revenue. Based in London, operating globally.I come from a decade of building and scaling businesses in India from the ground up, owning large P & Ls, working directly with CXOs, family offices, and government - and then choosing to put that commercial firepower behind purpose-driven sport. I've led organisations of 40+ people, built capability frameworks for large teams, and navigated the kind of complexity that only comes from operating across government, corporate, and civil society simultaneously. That background shapes how I approach fundraising: not just as a grant-writer but as a strategist who understands how money moves, how decisions get made, and how to build the relationships that make both happen. My formation was genuinely international: schooled in Prague, Economics at SRCC Delhi, Marketing at MICA Ahmedabad. I've also played football at youth-level at Sparta Prague and at India national level, which taught me more about resilience, discipline, and reading people under pressure than any boardroom has since. I'm particularly drawn to the intersection of sports impact, fitness tech for recreational athletes, and the new wave of corporate and government partnerships that are reshaping how sport gets funded and scaled. I write occasionally about sport, technology, and performance at theoryofplay.substack.com If you're building something that matters in this space, or just want a coffee in London, DM me or reach me at ankitbhatia7@gmail.com
