About Ankit Kumar Singh

As a Social Designer, his current practice explores new methodologies, criticality, and approaches for future scenarios, imagining and creating new relationships within the societal structures, systems and procedures. Through his lens of a craft and community designer, Ankit uses his social - action led design practice as a method of research and expression to understand and communicate his work. His practice being at the intersection of Design, Politics and Society, aims to address Behavior design using societal led transformation, often addressing Design Justice at its core. His deep interest in to contribute to public administration research and practice through analysis of the relationships between bureaucratic systems and behavior in the context of public service delivery, led him to research on the existing relationship between the societal structures and gig economy workers. Through his range of design interventions and projects, he attempts to better calibrate bureaucratic systems and administrative structures, in order to make them more effective and responsive for public service delivery. Additionally, as a Researcher, he is inclined towards academic, ethnographic, and investigative research.
