About Ankit Maheshwari

I am a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in enhancing financial and non financial reporting frameworks for large listed companies across India. I have held pivotal roles within the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), including serving as the former Secretary of ICAI, Jaipur. Currently, I am a special invitee to the SRSB, where I am actively involved in revising SSAE standards, integrating IFRS S1 and S2 into the BRSR framework and advising on SEBI’s consultation papers related to revising BRSR core framework. I am also a core member of the Ethical Standards Board, contributing to the revision of the ICAI code of conduct. Additionally, I lead technical reviews of annual reports at the ICAI Research Committee and have authored multiple compendiums on commonly found errors in both financial and non-financial reporting. My work also includes research on financial and tax literacy for startups, contributing to excellence in reporting practices for new age ventures. As a specialist in ICAI disciplinary proceedings, I have handled over 125 cases across the Disciplinary Committee (DC) Bench, Board of Discipline (BOD), and the Appellate Authority (AA). My responsibilities include detailed review and adjudication of complex cases, ensuring fair and just resolutions in accordance with ICAI’s regulatory standards. I am passionate about orating and mentoring young Chartered Accountants. I have delivered lectures and webinars at various forums, including national conferences, positively impacting the lives of many finance professionals. As an author and media contributor, my work has been featured in various newspapers and radio interviews. My commitment to excellence and deep industry knowledge has earned me a reputation as a trusted advisor and mentor in the finance and accounting sector.
