Ankit Singhal possesses extensive experience in the finance and artificial intelligence domains, accumulating over 12 years of professional expertise across various industries and roles. His background includes working in Finance, Media, IT, and Research and Development sectors. His expertise lies in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing, where he has consistently build various AI algorithms and developed AI driven software application. Currently serving as an Associate Director at UBS Pune, he lead initiatives that leverage Python-based automation of quant models and ESG risk models. Prior to UBS, he contributed as a Consultant at American Express and as a Senior Data Scientist at DB Corp Ltd. His journey in machine learning began at DRDO, where he served as a Research Engineer. His academic pursuits include a Post graduate diploma in Management (Finance) from XLRI Jamshedpur, complementing his B.Tech degree from Amity, GGSIPU. He has delved into finance research, exploring topics such as dissent and policy communication in India’s Monetary Policy Committee and probability default in Black Scholes Model. Furthermore, he has developed machine learning models to analyse sentiment in financial text and conduct factor analysis in the Indian capital market. Throughout his career, he has delivered impactful projects, such as developing a Natural Language Interface to Database at American Express, persona and personalised news content of 10Lacs daily active users and 20 lacs total users at Dainik Bhaskar and implementing gamification apps for leadership development at InspireOne. He has also contributed to IT projects like Invoice Processing Management System at UBS, Auto-intelligent reports summarisation and speech management systems at DRDO. In addition to his professional contributions, he is also passionate about mentoring and has conducted training sessions on Python, data analytics, and mathematics in machine learning. He has also facilitated Python in Finance workshops at UBS, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development. He hold certifications in Bloomberg ESG and Market Concepts, Python for Computation Finance, NLP, Digital Marketing, Deep Learning, and Big Data.
