About Ankitha Sudarshan
Ankitha is currently pursuing a PhD under Dr. Rohini Srihari in the NLP Lab at the University at Buffalo, where she explores NLP and Conversational AI with a focus on social good. She’s passionate about finding ways these technologies can solve real-world problems and improve how we interact with computers. Before starting her PhD, Ankitha earned her Master’s in Computer Science from Purdue University. She gained valuable experience as a Data Associate at KPMG US, where she developed NLP applications and worked with various ERPs. During her internship as an AI Engineering intern, she worked on building and maintaining ML and DL models, improving the efficiency of AI pipelines. She also delved into computer vision for her final year project. Outside of her research, Ankitha has a passion for Carnatic Classical Music and loves discovering new places. She is always excited about new opportunities and enjoys collaborating on innovative research projects in AI.
