About Ankur Chakravarthy

I'm a computational biology postdoctoral fellow with two major interests - a) Using omics based approaches and machine learning to detect and classify cancers for purposes of early diagnosis and therapeutic intervention, with a specific focus on epigenetics. More specifically, I have been involved in the development of methylation based liquid biopsy approaches and the development of pathognomonic and stratified medicine biomarkers for immunotherapy and HPV-driven cancers. b) Understanding tumour evolution, particularly in terms of genome-microenvironment interplay. I have broad experience in developing statistical approaches and using single cell and bulk omics data to dissect immune composition and function in the context of immunotherapy resistance in cancer, with the intended aim of identifying therapeutic strategies that may boost the efficacy of immunotherapy. I have a track record of publishing lead-author or co-lead author papers in high-impact journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Communications, and Journal of Clinical Oncology.
