About Anmar Almukhtar

I am Thoracic & Vascular Specialist Surgeon, with more than twelve years of experience – six years spent in Iraq, and seven in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During my time in these respective positions, I have seen a lot and helped a great deal of people. I have gained the necessary experience to witness and evaluate emergency situations, and to react accordingly. Helping people is why I do what I do, and I make the health and security of the patient my number one priority at all times. Furthermore, I have two years of experience in cardiac surgery. I worked under the supervision of a consultant cardiac surgeon from whom I gained invaluable information. I was given the opportunity to learn more about how to treat patients who were suffering from congenital or acquired heart diseases. This was an incredible learning opportunity, one which has helped me a great deal in my work. The American Heart Association (AHA) has certified me as a BLS Instructor – I have given training courses for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. I am not only concerned with my own practices, but teaching others to uphold the same high standards we should all expect of ourselves. In the short term, I am hoping to find work as an instructor in BLS, or to exercise my abilities in the medical field – hopefully as a health coordinator, some form of instructor, or wherever I feel as though I can be best utilized. I want to do this as I continue to qualify for my medical certificate in order to work in Canada under my specialty.
