About Anmol Thanai

I am PhD researcher in Chemistry at The University of Manchester. My research focuses on the bottom-up solution-based synthesis and analytical characterization of edge-engineered nanographenes for advanced materials development. Over the course of my academic journey, I have developed a strong foundation in organic synthesis, materials chemistry, and advanced analytical techniques. My earlier projects involved the synthesis of N-sulphonyl-1,2,3-triazoles during my master's studies and the synthesis and characterization of metal sulphide nanoparticles during my bachelor's degree. In addition, I gained valuable industrial experience through an internship focused on the synthesis, purification, and characterization of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) derivatives. I am proficient in a range of analytical and characterization methods, including NMR, UV-vis, Fluorimetry, GPC, Flash/Column Chromatography, LC/MS, GC/MS, HPLC, FTIR, EPR, DSC, TGA etc. I have a proven ability to approach complex chemical challenges with data-driven experimentation and advanced instrumentation. Alongside my technical expertise, I bring strong collaboration skills, a commitment to laboratory safety, and a focus on sustainable research practices. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to drive scientific progress and contribute to impactful projects across diverse settings.
