Experienced Pianist skilled in Piano Performance, Singing, Worship Leading, Organist, Accompanying, Event Planning, Musical Theatre, Music Theory, and Teaching. Strong performance and recording professional skills. She graduated from The Juilliard Prep School, Wheaton College Conservatory, Indiana University, M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Advanced Graduate Certificate from the Institute of Worship Studies. Personal Bio: Ann Barkley is one of the pianists & singers at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. Formerly Pianist at Irvine Presbyterian for 15 years, she enjoys choral singing as well as rote singing with her new church. Starting with The Juilliard Prep School in NYC, her classical piano education grew to include Bible classes at Wheaton College, Dallas Theological Seminary, and the FL Institute of Worship Studies. She minored in voice at Wheaton, continuing her studies in Dallas, TX and at the University of Wyoming. She was a semi-finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, Rocky Mountain division. Since moving to Orange County, she joined the Screen Actors Guild and the American Guild of Organists. Entertaining at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, she also sang with the Saddleback Orchestra under Barry Silverman. Her proudest moment was singing “God Bless America” with President Ronald Reagan during a Mission Viejo political rally in 1990. Ann has been married to Don Barkley 40 years. They have 4 adult children, 2 of whom are married, but no grandkids yet. We all enjoy making music together, and we hope you enjoy the music too!
