Background
About Ann Batoon
During my undergrad career at CSUMB, I gained a lot of experience using field instruments in all my courses especially the geology series. I worked on a few class projects assessing the Pilarcitos Canyon in Fort Ord National Monument, Carmel River Restoration and Dam Removal Project, and Hollister Hill State Vehicular Recreation Area for future analysis reports. I love field surveys and don't mind getting my hands dirty. Along with my degree in Environmental Science, Technology and Policy, I also have a minor in Statistics and enjoy going back to the lab to do analysis work. In the summer of 2018, my partner and I received funding from my school's Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) program to conduct research on water quality in the Elkhorn Slough in Moss Landing, California and later presented my work at the UROC Summer Symposium. I am an enthusiastic researcher, ready to tackle environmental issues.
