Canyon Studios Architects is a Los Angeles based firm whose work strives to enhance and celebrate the quality of life. For us, architecture is a direct expression of it’s place, it’s people and it’s purpose. It is multi-disciplinary, collaborative and a hopeful legacy, a gift to our future. Our work ranges from single and multifamily residential to commercial and institutional projects. Similar methodology is applied to each project, regardless of typology and scale. We seek to define the problem in terms of site opportunities, scope, budget and project profitability, client need, time constraints, cultural and environmental context, engineering efficiency, agency compliance and constructability. We analyze the problem from the outside - in, from the big, urban picture down to the plan, section, detail and structure synthesizing research points from all pertinent disciplines into a meaningful, useful built environment. We feel that every building project is an opportunity to add to our body of knowledge. Each project offers us an opportunity to test and demonstrate what we have learned, and learn anew. Recent projects include new construction of sustainable affordable senior housing communities, market rate housing communities, and mixed-use projects. Other project experience includes master planning, secondary and higher education, residential new construction and remodeling, landscaping and commercial tenant improvement.
