About Ann Emary

I have very eclectic interests. I grew up participating in a robust agriculturally orientated 4-H program and for the last 24 years I have had opportunities to become proficient in all aspects related to row crops, harvesting hay ground, and working with livestock. This interest in farming has allowed me to become an expert in all aspects of animal husbandry (I have and currently maintain a herd of 25-30 cattle from calving to market). My love of the outdoors and people is reflected in my photography. My work has been recognized and resulted in several awards over the years, consequently, I have developed a thriving part-time business shooting weddings, graduation pictures, and family gatherings. I also enjoy ‘giving back’ to those who have contributed to my growth as a photographer, by serving as a judge in different photography competitions.I am also part-owner of a landscape company and our most recent endeavor is in developing, otherwise, unproductive farm ground because of tree growth and terrain into successful areas that can be utilized by the urban sportsman. To enhance the sportsman’s success we install blinds and develop water features (lakes, ponds, and streams), and create areas for game trails or safe regions for wildlife’s seasonal demands. By enhancing an area’s natural attributes to support wildlife, the probability for a successful and timely outing for the urban sportsman is greatly increased. I also enjoy volunteering in my community. I am a volunteer fireman, find both fitness and satisfaction running in charity marathons, organize and participate in ‘pancake feeds', I am an EMT and have had an opportunity to develop several life-saving skills related to a wide range of emergency situations. I would probably be best described by others as someone who had to be doing something and unable to do nothing.
