About Ann Johnson

I work full-time in the electrical engineering department of Jacobs Engineering, specifically within the lighting division. There, I work on a variety of projects domestically, and occasionally abroad. I achieved my Engineer in Training certification in 2022, and am proud to be working towards a Professional Engineer licensure in the state of Missouri. I love learning about artistic applications of lighting, such as projection mapping, stage lighting control, and installation art that incorporates sensors, motors, networked control systems, and audio to create immersive environments. I have experience designing and installing art exhibits, which I enjoy doing in my free time. I create artworks that explore technology, usually lighting and video elements, and am a proud supporter of the St. Louis art scene through my work with local shows and other local artists.
