Ann is a planner with more than 25 years of experience managing high-profile, large multi-disciplinary projects that combine environmental assessment, urban design, planning and sustainability. She has worked on innovative projects in Canada and internationally. Recent project examples include: Coastal Management Planning in Grenada, Transit Station Planning and Visualizations in Hamilton and York Region, planning for the Toronto Port Lands and South of Eastern area in Toronto, Growth Management and secondary planning in Hamilton, several integrated sustainability plans for Ontario municipalities, environmental assessments for energy, solid waste and transportation projects. Over the past several years, she has spent two months in Nepal delivering education institutes for teachers in association with Laurier University.Ann was the Planner in Residence at the University of Waterloo for 2019-2020.She has been an instructor at York University Faculty of Environmental Studies Masters Program for several decades and is active in a number of professional associations including current member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Institute of Planners, Chair of the CIP College of Fellows. She also spent several years as the Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI)/Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and member of the Management Committee for ULI Toronto.She has held a variety of leadership positions including as a member of the Leadership Team and Board of Directors at Dillon Consulting. She was the founding Partner for the Women in Dillon Program and the Dillon Corporate Sustainability Programs (2008 to 2018).In 2016, she was inducted to the Canadian Institute of Planners College of Fellows for her contributions to the planning profession. Ann is a Master Gardener in Grey County and is passionate about eco-responsible gardening practices as a volunteer in her community.
