About Ann Lemons
I had been inspired by a student of mine to seek a more thorough understanding of the challenges of autism and the strategies and teaching accommodations I can use to increase student success. I am a highly sensitive and intuitive special education professional with six years of diverse experiences working with students with a variety of special educational needs within the general education classroom and in the specialized autism unit. Professional skills include communicating and collaborating with teachers and parents, organizing and managing paperwork and confidential information, empowering students to advocate for themselves, and creating manipulatives that meet the needs of students in achieving their academic potential. After graduation in June, 2014, I will be looking for a challenging position supporting children in a school district that is committed to meeting the individual needs of all children with dignity and compassion.
