Ann MacKeigan is a trained leader in coaching and developing talent and has taught interviewing, writing, directing and radio skills. She has recruited, hired, trained and continues ongoing development with more than 30 hosts for CBC Radio, Podcasts, Television and online work. Ann has been at CBC for more than 30 years,with a career that spanned many areas of the organization. As a journalist, producer, and executive producer she created new programmes and developed special projects with Music, Arts, Current Affairs, News and Sports departments. As a Senior Manager and then Director of Content Development she oversaw the development of programs and staff of more than 20 network radio programmes, and managed multiple cross platform initiatives. Most recently Ann has been the Executive Producer for two daily network flagship programs: Q with Tom Power and Commotion with Elamin Abdelmahmoud. Ann’s work has won her numerous international awards and recognition, including the Deutsche Welle Awards, the Gabriel Awards, the New York Festivals and the Prix Italia. In 2005, Ann was the recipient of the CBC President’s Award for her work. Ann is now available to support on-air talent through individual coaching.
