About Ann Perera

I commenced my career at Wallaby Australia Pty Ltd as a Bookkeeper and promoted to Office Manager after 05 months. During this time I was responsible for assisting the Accountants in completing business tax returns, including preparation and maintenance of profit and loss, balance sheet, and general ledger. In addition, I was responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable invoices, completing bank reconciliations, preparing journals for month end and assisting payroll. In 2014, I moved onto Open Universities Australia as an Accounts Payable Officer where I have been employed over the past 4 years and become an Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer after one year and then an Assistant Accountant after 3 years. I am currently responsible for processing accounts payable invoices and prepare and process EFT, International, Bpay and Credit card payments, reconcile accounts payable transactions, completing month end processes and reporting such as posting journals and accruals, preparation of balance sheet and GL reconciliations, completing consolidated BAS and GST, reconcile quarter end provider statements and completing bank & credit card reconciliations etc. I am now seeking an opportunity to join a business where I will be exposed to new challenges and further development and where I can contribute my analytical skills, strong attention to detail and ability to improving financial systems to the organization.
