About Ann Sabbag

As founder and former CEO of an industry-leading workplace wellness company based in Northeast Florida, I’ve spent more than 25 years somewhere on the line between corporate leader and missionary. I love growing the business and am strongly focused on the people and priorities that make us succeed. But what really drives me is a lifelong passion for wellness and the desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. I feel blessed to have discovered that passion early and made a career of it - and doubly blessed to have recently sold controlling interest in the company to the perfect successor. When I founded Health Designs 25+ years ago, some corporations - including BellSouth, for whom I’d worked - had wellness programs, but starting a business devoted to face-to-face coaching, biometric screenings and wellness assessments was an expedition into uncharted territory. Fortunately, it was also a chance to create something unique from my experience as a health educator and coach. As it turns out, the strategies born at our original headquarters (my dining room table!) went on to become the gold standard for a now-thriving industry. Today, the award-winning Health Designs team puts its proprietary strategies and programs to work for diverse employers in every major industry and sector of the economy, enhancing employee health and well-being, containing costs and improving productivity and culture. In 2019 alone, we reached more than employees at nearly 300 companies nationwide. I am still involved with the business in partnership with the new owner, and feel a deep sense of pride in the results that we continue to provide for our clients, their employees, and our own amazing team. …And every time I hear a success story from a participant who’s traded in blood pressure medication for walking shoes – or an employer who’s enjoying lower health risks and improved productivity - I fall in love with the work we do all over again.
