About Ann Stone

I've been blessed to have experienced many careers, mostly the world of marketing. Thanks to so many colleagues who taught me so much along the way. I now have two rewarding roles: teaching future awesome marketers with over 6,400 students taught over 3,900 classroom hours of teaching and doing marketing as a small agency serving restaurant and retail clients. I also put on workshops on Brand You, Marketing and General Business, and a few others. What am I best at, should you want to reach out for some project work or conversation? 1) Assimilation of complex ideas into digestible insights, particularly in marketing but beyond. 2) Explaining the craft of marketing or general strategy ideas, with emphasis on branding and marketing communications. If you need a small work session on thinking strategically or working through marketing strategy I'm good at this. 3) Working with and exploring relationships between franchisors and franchisees. I've been the former, I'm married to the latter, making me a living laboratory of the two sides of this business model. 4) Your career: I've found a skill at helping others think about their careers and career challenges. In 2017-2022 I've developed a Brand You workshop which has been an evening session for several organizations here in Vancouver BC, as both an example of the work I can do and its application. 5) Presenting or workshopping any of the above topics. I've been a keynote speaker at several events, and I am in the classroom almost every week perfecting my craft.
